David never folded to any trend or ideal as to how he should act, he was and will always be his own person, now and forever... Some of my fondest memories involve Dave, it will forever leave a void in my life. A while back we were talking about me doing crazy stuff on streetbikes. David simply told me "be careful Don, we've known each other a long time and I've always cared about you". I'll hang on those word for the rest of my life. Colleen - it's hard to know what to say about something so unbelievably surreal. I know you find comfort in the bond you and Dave shared, and the incredible growth you experienced together. Not many experience a relationship so honest and accepting. Dave, I want you to Know that in the last 20 years or so you have always been there for me when I needed anything from questions with my house, advise in life to just sitting next to me and not saying anything, but just being there. We have had alot of fun times and some not so fun, but we did it together. I have always thought of you as a brother. You have shown me what a true friend is. When David was a small boy he spent a Summer in Santa Cruz with my family. His dad often made him eat everything on his plate or he had to sit at the table after we were done. He often had to sit for an hour or more, I would sneak over with a napkin and take what he didnt want to eat. He would look at me with such shock and relief. I cherish this memory and doing the flowers for his wedding. It was a time we all shared with his grandmothers, it was a wonderful laughter filled week. Ill miss you and am thankful for my memories. I don't know where to begin, I'm still in shock at the news of losing David, He was such a gentle soul, I will truly miss him, he was such a kind person always so friendly and eager to talk to an old friend like me. David, I Know we havent seen eachother as much as we did when you were a kid and I was a teen. I cherish the time we shared with Grandma Floy and the rest of the family on the Island and Im sorry time slipped so fast since then. Dave's home away from home was his work. That's what you call it when you commit to spending long hours to getting the project done. Your co-workers become your family and friends because at the end of the shift there is little time left in a day to spend with your real loved ones. Dave was a hard worker, made a host of friends and always had a smile on his face. He kept that smile through the roughest weather, the hardest push to get the work done and and the all the frustration that goes with on the job demands. Dave talked about his home and family on Whidby Island often. No doubt in my mind, missing them very much. His presence and everlasting smile will be missed. My deepest condolences to his loving family.

David worked with us here on the Pier B project for nearly a year. I remember David's smile, his energy, and his great hair. At the Monday morning meeting, he always made a point to say hello. My deepest sympathy to the Inman family and all those who were especially close to David.
