Condolence: I received news of Nate's passing with my annual Xmas greeting, and was saddened indeed to know this vibrant individual would walk amongst us no longer.
If ever there was a personification of " the early bird catches the worm" it would be Nate, he was the 1st one out of the gate, always with a gleam in his eye & a bounce in his step.
One could almost sense his surveying of his environmental landscape to see what needed doing & just how could he assist in that outcome.
He was a lover of life, he didn't phone it in, he was the real deal.
I'm grateful to have had the pleasure of his company, & hope that his loved ones may seek comfort in knowing he touched many in life & we are all the better for it.
He will be missed surely, but his legacy lives on & proudly so.

Condolence From: Spencer Prahl

Condolence: Missing from the obit in the Chicago Tribune was any mention of Nate's Whizzer motorbike and his group of Whizzer friends.
On several occasions Nate and Suzy would host Whizzer motorbike rides from their home in Barrington Hills to cruise the beautiful countryside on our antique machines.
Freshly brewed coffee and donuts were served from the bed of his Model A.
Nice memories. Thanks, Nate. Sleep well.

Condolence From: Ken Dahm

Condolence: I just happened to be reading the Chicago Tribune and noticed Nates passing in the obits. As the owner of a manufacturing company in Chicago Nate called me to see if I could help him build a widget that he had designed so I told him to stop in and let's look at his invention.To say he was an interesting guy is an understatement for sure, this was around 1998 that we made the first prototypes for him. Nate never told me about his background at Dartmouth or the Air Force, I did know that he was a very proud family man after we got to know each other a little better. Nate invited me to his home to see one of his automobiles that he was so proud of and also to meet his wife Suzy. When I did not hear from Nate for a while I called him and found out he was fighting cancer, this was around 1999. Sadly I did not hear from Nate again after that time. I can tell you this, if you met Nate one time you would remember him forever. I am very fortunate to have met and worked with him on his project. Godspeed Nate !! Ken Dahm President of Ultratech Inc.
