The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of George Roberson can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Carol Torset

My deepest condolences for the family of Dur and the Oak Harbor and North Whidbey Lions clubs. Lion Dur will be missed by many people. He touched them all with his devotion to Lions and to his community. I became a Lion because of him. He spoke at the Sedro-Woolley Lions 70th anniversary celebration where I was an attendee - not a Lion yet. He gave me his International Director pin, and when I explained I could not accept it because I was not a Lion, he said "keep it, you will be someday". I never forgot this and did join Lions eventually and his pin was the first one I put on my vest. On June 6th of this year he installed the officers of Sedro-Woolley Lions and it was special for me. I shared this story with him and the club that day - the day I became President of my Lions club. I have learned so much from Dur and I am so thankful to have known him. I will miss him. Carol Torset, President Sedro-Woolley Lions
